Timsan Transformer in Ivory Coast

In the last week of January 2020, Mr. Muharrem BOZAT from TİMSAN Sales Marketing made a business trip on behalf of our Company in order to take a closer look at the Ivory Coast electricity distribution and power transformers market.

Most of its exports are based on agriculture, and Ivory Coast, which imports most of the industrial products, is one of the leading developing countries in West Africa.

During our meetings e in Abidjan, the capital of Ivory Coast, it was determined that they needed imports of industrial products to make more production and to develop the economy more.

On the third day of our trip, we were warmly welcomed during our visit to the Ivory Coast Electricity Authority (CEI). We have visited the institution From Turkey, from a remote location, so this visit made was extremely happy. In this visit, it was stated that Turkish businessmen invest in the construction sector in the country, but still do not have enough shares in the supply of industrial products. Institution officials, who received information about our products, believed that the country's climate, which has an average temperature of 35 degrees and high humidity, needs durable electrical transformers, and that high-quality and high-tech transformers produced at the Timsan Transformer plant will be a good solution in electricity distribution.

Abidjan, which has a long Lagoon, islands and peninsulas, is one of the unique cities in terms of natural beauty. In addition to its cultural richness, it looks like a country focused on development and growth in the last decade. Annual growth rate of 7% will provide job opportunities for young people who make up the majority of the population.

Ivory Coast, where businessmen from the Middle East, India and China are looking for investment, also offers great opportunities for the Turkish business world.
